What Is a Special Short Tender Notice?
Any tender notice whose date of opening has been set at any future date as well as the short-tender notice, under section 18 of the Act, are issued by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). There are two types of short-tender notices – short tender notice under section 14(1) of the Act, and short tender notice under section 12(2) of the Act. Short tender notices under section 14(1) are called urgent tenders while those under section 12(2) are called non-urgent tenders.
How to Read a Short Tender Document
Short tender notices are short, ranging from one to four pages in length. They often include all of the same important components that you'd find in longer, more involved tenders. Most companies who use short tender notices still specify what information should be included in each section; it's just condensed into one or two paragraphs instead of four or five pages.
