The second step is to consider your qualifications and decide which jobs you would be qualified for. You should also start preparing your CV or resume and write a cover letter if needed. When applying for jobs, it is important not only to send applications but also follow up on them as well by waiting at least three days before contacting the employer again.
Step 1. Learn Arabic
It's a matter of self-confidence, but it's not difficult at all. There are plenty of opportunities for English speakers to learn Arabic, and plenty of people want you to! You can study at the University of Muscat or any other university, take an intensive language course with local schools like AUSAT or the British Council, sign up for private lessons with teachers on platforms like Wanted, or even learn online through courses like Duolingo. Step 2. Get an employment visa
The first step is to get an employment visa. It's not required, but it will make things much easier when you arrive. To do this, you'll need an Omani sponsor and their National ID card (a copy). Once you've got the right documentation, head over to the Ministry of Manpower and immigration office with your passport and original copies of all your paperwork. You'll then be given an appointment date for your interview. Make sure you dress well and arrive early on the day of your interview as there can be quite a long wait list!
