Sales Professionals
The job market is always expanding with new opportunities and if you're in sales, your prospects are bright. According to Glassdoor, sales and sales management was ranked No. 2 on its list of top-rated jobs in 2022 due to a job growth rate over 10 percent through 2024. If you've got good people skills, a knack for negotiation and can find that balance between persistence and aggressiveness, sales could be a good option for you. Sales representatives work primarily from their home office or out on business calls; according to Glassdoor's Sales Representative Job Description, interviewees say they spend most of their time working from home so consider getting one with a separate room if possible.
To become a sales representative, you'll need to develop excellent people skills and be able to confidently communicate with prospects. Sales representatives typically work in an office environment and may travel on business calls or appointments. A sales job can be a great option if you're looking for stability; according to Glassdoor's Sales Representative Job Description, interviewees say they earn between $45,00 and $1500 per year as a sales rep at large companies.

Customer Service Professionals
Demand is higher than ever for customer service representatives. If you're good at listening, helping and being an all-around resource to people, then consider a job in customer service. Customer service jobs can be found in almost every industry you can think of. You could work in a call center or work one-on-one with customers via email, phone, or chat box. In fact, several recent studies suggest that CSRs are some of today's highest paid employees and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects jobs in customer service will grow by 8 percent from 2022 to 2024—that's much faster than average!
If you have a soft spot for helping people, then customer service may be a perfect fit. Customer service jobs can be found in nearly every industry and can vary widely. A representative at an online clothing store might assist customers who want to return or exchange items. The same could be said for someone working at a restaurant, movie theater, or airline company.

Medical Assistants
The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment opportunities for medical assistants will grow faster than average, with a projected 21 percent increase in job openings between 2022 and 2023. At 13 million in 2024, there are already a lot of medical assistants out there doing great work! The best way to distinguish yourself is by showing patients how you’re different. Use your skills and knowledge to help them get top-tier care. For example, if you know what tests need to be done next because you’ve been through them before, then tell your patient about them – explain what they are and why they’re needed. By taking on more responsibility and pushing yourself outside your comfort zone, you can show that you’re ready to become an even bigger asset down the road.
Becoming a medical assistant isn’t that hard. Most states don’t require licensing or certification, although you can get extra training to become certified through AAMA. Many people choose a career as a medical assistant because they enjoy helping people and find it rewarding to be able to see immediate improvements in patients’ quality of life. If you have experience in a healthcare environment, such as volunteering at your local hospital or completing an internship during college, that work experience can help you get started on your career path as well.

Accountant
Keeping track of all your financial accounts can be a full-time job. Accountants are responsible for ensuring that companies and individuals follow tax laws and make sure they have all relevant documents, like receipts, to file. Accountants usually need an undergraduate degree in accounting, but additional certifications can help them get better jobs. Many states require accountants to pass a licensing exam before they can practice. Average salaries are $70,0 per year.
If you think accounting is right for you, an associate degree program can help you get started. Accounting degree programs usually take two years to complete and teach students financial reporting, bookkeeping and tax preparation. Most states require accountants to pass a certification exam after completing a degree program, and having your CPA or CMA (certified public accountant or certified management accountant) designations will open up more opportunities in your career. A bachelor’s degree can also give you a boost into management positions at large companies. If all that sounds like too much work, become an administrative assistant instead; it has similar skills but with less training required.

Driver
The National Transportation Board just announced that driver jobs are one of their top recommendations on how to fill 6 million open positions. Driver jobs come in all shapes and sizes, so whether you're looking to get your CDL or even if you just want some gig money, there are options. The best part is they can be done on a part-time basis while working other full- time gigs at the same time. A driver's license, car insurance and up-to-date registration are required, but pretty much everything else can be worked out with each employer. Between Uber and Lyft, as well as multiple delivery services like Amazon Flex and Postmates, there's a lot to choose from when it comes to getting behind a wheel and earning money on demand.
If driving doesn't sound like your thing, don't worry. There are plenty of other jobs that can be done from home or on-the-go. Dog walking is another service that's in high demand and if you're up to it, cat sitting could earn you just as much. Best of all is house cleaning which can make anywhere from $20-$60 an hour, depending on your location and how much work you want to put into it. If you need money fast, there are apps like Needle and Spare Hours that let you pick up extra work with just a few hours notice.
