CSMT-KJT Section Unaffected by Fog

The CSMT-KJT section of Central Railways (CR) will remain unaffected by fog today. The Kalyan-Kasara route was also hit badly because of fog. On Thursday morning, several trains were cancelled due to heavy fog in Thane and Palghar areas. Trains running on Western Railways faced disruption as a result of problems with signalling system at Santacruz-Chembur section due to dense fog in many parts of Mumbai and nearby areas, an official said. The signals are almost normal now, but trains were getting delayed due to congestion and station congestion, CR PRO A K Singh said adding some long distance trains like Ahmedabad-Pune Intercity Express were diverted via Dadar or Surat .

Janhavi Express Delayed By 3 Hours

Janhavi Express, which is bound to Dehradun from Mumbai Central, has been delayed by over three hours due to technical problems. Janhavi Express had left Dehradun for Mumbai at 10:45 AM in Monday and had an average delay of nearly 3 hours. The train will reach its destination only at 1:40 PM today. Passengers travelling on Janhavi are upset with such regular delays and have demanded a better service from Indian Railways.

 Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Janhavi Express faced another delay. This time, it was scheduled to leave Dehradun at 6:30 AM but left an hour late due to technical problems. The train will now reach Mumbai Central at 8:45 AM instead of 7:15 AM as per schedule. While most trains are running with delay, few are running early or on time. Buses from Dehradun to Delhi have also been delayed and not many tickets remain in bookings. Passengers demand some more awareness from IRCTC about these delays as regular cancellation of tickets has been observed for Janhavi Express and Kanchan Kanya Exress services in past few days due to late arrival or departure of these trains.

FASTAG Installed on Noida-Nerul Local

In a recent news bulletin, a railway official has confirmed that FASTAG is being installed on all passenger trains on a route between Noida and Nerul. This FASTAG installation notice applies to all nearby villages including Near Khuda Ki Basti. It was further stated in an exclusive interview that thousands of commuters have already started using FASTAG. With advance booking and other related perks, installing FASTAG on local trains is considered to be one of the biggest facilities that near khuda ki basti has ever had since its inception into existence.

Platforms 17, 18, 19 Closed due to Maintenance Work

Due to maintenance work on platforms 17, 18 and 19, users of Delhi Metro's Red Line will face disruptions in services for an hour from 8:30 am onwards. Passengers are advised to use entry/exit at platform no. 15 & 16 at Rajiv Chowk metro station and interchange between Blue Line (Dwarka Sector 21-Noida) from/to Yellow Line (HUDA City Centre). During early morning peak hours of 7 am – 10 am, 4 minutes' delay will be there. During evening peak hours of 5 pm – 9 pm, 6 minutes' delay will be there. At night during 10 pm – 2 am, 8 minutes' delay can be expected in trains that pass through these 3 affected platforms.

No Water Supply in Bandra Terminus Due to Laxmi Pujan

The main water supply from Bandra Terminus to Vile Parle, Khar and Santacruz has been affected by a four-day Laxmi Pujan at a nearby temple. According to railway sources, for the Puja, which is being held between October 5 and 8, no water will be supplied to about 2 lakh people in these areas for those days. The puja organisers have refused to provide piped water during their event because of religious reasons and will instead provide earthen pots filled with water from taps in that area. For Laxmi Pujan devotees, it is customary to wash their hands and feet by pouring puja kalash (stone pot) filled with water over them.

Ambala-Sri Ganganagar Intercity Express Cancelled

Due to late running of Intercity Express Number 16586/16587 (Jakhal-Rohtak) on July 26 and 27, 2018; it has been cancelled. In addition, there will be no service of Intercity Express No 16588/16589 (Sri Ganganagar-Ambala) on July 29, 2018 and 30, 2018. The train service for Sri Ganganagar – Ambala will resume from 2nd August 2018 at 10.50 AM in connection with arrival of 11001 Bikaner Jodhpur Superfast Express from Ambala Cantt. Please take note.

All Trains Between Sarai Rohilla and New Delhi Terminated at Rishikesh

The Northern Railways has decided to terminate all its trains between Sarai Rohilla and New Delhi at Rishikesh from Sunday. Earlier, these trains were terminated at Dehradun. The decision was taken after a review meeting of officials of Western Railways, Northern Railways and railway board members held here on Wednesday, a spokesman said. To run new suburban services between Delhi and Agra it has been planned to extend Kanpur Shatabdi express up to Ghaziabad instead of terminating it at Moradabad in Western Railways as per earlier plan, he said.

Vadodara Junction (ADI) and Valsad Junction (BSR): Vadodara Junction Station Train Number 15209/15210 Anand –Valsad Passenger departure time from Vadodara Junction Station changed from 19:15 hrs to 19:25 hrs.
